Kazuhiro Tsuga
Principal Executive Officer, President and Director Age: 57 Kazuhiro Tsuga has been the Principal Executive Officer of Panasonic Corporation since June 27, 2012. He became the President of AVC Networks Company in 2011. After that, he took on the leadership of the global company. There, he served concurrently as Senior Managing Director and Member of the Board. From 2008 to 2011, he served as President of Panasonic's Automotive Systems Company and Managing Executive Officer of the corporation. He started Panasonic's automotive electronics business and expanded the foundation by taking it in new directions. These new directions include devices and systems for more eco-responsible vehicles. He directed Panasonic's overseas R&D Centers and Digital Network Strategic Planning Office in 2006. He also directed the Advanced Appliances Development Center for audiovisual technologies from 2001 to 2004. Additionally, he advanced major industry efforts such as the formation of the Digital Living Network Alliance, the standardization of DVD and Blu-ray Disc formats, and other initiatives. In April 1979, he joined Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., now known as Panasonic, after graduating from Osaka University with a Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering. He also studied at University of California, where he earned his MS in Computer Science in 1986. |
